Bus driver Gunnar Johansson had a clear vision and an idea - he wanted to start his own company and create flower stands and garden decorations in wrought iron. This was how Gnosjö Konstsmide was born. The year was 1942.

We are humbled by the task
The third generation of Johanssons is at the helm of the company today. In spite of everything, the road to today's success has not always been without challenges. We work tirelessly to painstakingly build, strengthen and nurture our brand, while at the same time maintaining our long tradition rooted in a profound respect for the small scale - something that can often feel like a balancing act, in which the margin for error is very fine. Nevertheless, we live by the motto that the future lies in humility. Developing our own, unique products, that you won't necessarily find anywhere else, is something we constantly strive for.
