Nuovo Milano Teaspoon from Alessi. The Nuovo Milano service was designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1987 by revisiting a traditional cutlery model in a contemporary fashion. The objects of this series are characterised by soft and rounded shapes which are extremely pleasing to the touch like those of a stone smoothened by the sea.
About the brand
Alessi has been producing innovative and high-quality Italian designer homeware, kitchenware and home décor since its founding in 1935. The Crusinallo-based company was established by the late Giovanni Alessi sometime after World War I primarily as a manufacturer of stainless steel cutlery. By the 1970s, Alessi has built a reputation as one of the finest design houses in Italy and was frequently dubbed as one of the country’s “Design Factories.”
