It was during the traffic jam, spring 1959 in Fredriksberg, Denmark as a police stopped the traffic to let an duck family cross the street. This charming moment was captured by picture and spread in newspaper all over Denmark. Many became affected, and especially Hans Bølling who was so taken from the story that he designed this little duck in teak.
