Biny Box was originally designed by Jacques Biny in the 50's and has later been reproduced by DCWéditions who has adapted it to today's technology. Jacques Biny's design was characterized as strict and he never gave up in his quest to improve lighting in different environments. Efficiency and simplicity, restraint, elegance and modesty are common denominators in Jacques Biny's design. Biny Box is a wall lamp that can be placed above the bed and used as a reading lamp or to decorate a wall in a hallway or corridor. Biny Box contributes with both design and function which was one of Jacques's focus points in his designs. You can easily adjust the light on the Biny Box by turning the metal plates to the desired direction. Biny Box 1 is available in three color combinations, all black, black/white or all white. Biny is a series of lamps influenced by the 50's design aesthetics. The Biny series includes a table lamp, wall lamps and spotlights. Characteristics

Biny by DCWéditions In 1955, Jacques Biny started Luminalite, a workshop to produce modern lighting. During his 30-year career, he manufactured over 400 models with a focus on functionality, simplicity and elegance. Today, the lamps are manufactured under the Biny by DCWéditions brand.
As we are based in Europe, all our lamps/electrical items are made to the European standard of 220-230 volts, with an european plug. Due to the new EU directives, plugs for ceiling lamps, pendants and chandeliers are not included. They are CE-marked which means that they are approved for use in Europe only. We recommend using a 110 to 220 volt adapter, although we still cannot guarantee that it will work perfectly in your home.
The difference in voltage may affect the light of the lamp and you will not be able to use a dimmer function. The lamp can also make 'wiring noises' due to the voltage difference.
If you alter or rewire the lamp/item in any way, there will be no warranty applicable for the lamp/item and you cannot return it.
