Lampe Gras was designed in 1921 but then the production was stopped in 1940, but fortunately now is back in production in the original factory in France. The lamp was first made for industry and office environments but then became popular in the private homes and has now become a collector's item around the world. The design of Lampe Gras is timeless, as it has proven as well over the many years. The lamp is made out of black steel with a base of oak and is adjustable both on the arm and lamp shade.
La Lampe Gras by DCWéditions La Lampe Gras by DCWéditions is a French brand named after the designer Bernard-Albin GRAS, who in 1921 designed a series of lamps intended for offices and industrial environments. Today, the lamps are also used in home environments around the world, with their simple and robust yet ergonomic design.
As we are based in Europe, all our lamps/electrical items are made to the European standard of 220-230 volts, with an european plug. Due to the new EU directives, plugs for ceiling lamps, pendants and chandeliers are not included. They are CE-marked which means that they are approved for use in Europe only. We recommend using a 110 to 220 volt adapter, although we still cannot guarantee that it will work perfectly in your home.
The difference in voltage may affect the light of the lamp and you will not be able to use a dimmer function. The lamp can also make 'wiring noises' due to the voltage difference.
If you alter or rewire the lamp/item in any way, there will be no warranty applicable for the lamp/item and you cannot return it.
