Ultima Thule is an elegant decanter that pays homage to Tapio Wirkkala's pioneering glass design. Inspired by Finnish nature and the ice and snow of the Arctic landscapes, the carafe gives a sense of movement and light as if floating freely above the table. The rounded base, supported by three icicles, creates the impression of a floating glass sculpture. Each decanter is the result of Wirkkala's close collaboration with the glassblowers at the Iittala factory, where almost a thousand hours were spent recreating the unique textures and shapes of nature.
