When Broberg & Ridderstråle designed the Kandinsky pendant lamp they were inspired by the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky abstract art pieces. Wassily was a pioneer within the field of abstract art and well-known for his circle paintings created during his time at the renowned Bauhaus School of Design in the 1920s. The pendant consists of a spear that penetrates a round sphere and thus creates an illusion of weightlessness, fragility and precision. The custom-made light source in Kandinsky is integrated into the brass spear and emits a glowing, dimmable light through the center of the smoke-colored glass. Kandinsky pendant is available in two colors and in sizes 300 and 450 mm and is ideally paired together for a stylish expression.
