Crafted from ceramic with a smooth green glaze, the Oiva plate is safe for the dishwasher, oven, microwave, and freezer, making it perfect for daily use. Designed by Sami Ruotsalainen, the Piccolo pattern has its roots in Marimekko’s early years: in 1953, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo as a freely painted striped textile, which later inspired iconic garments like the Jokapoika shirt.
