Pli Linear Pendant

The design of the lamp is inspired by a seamstress working with fabric, needle and thread. A thin, perforated sheet of Italian paper is transformed into an unexpected lampshade that encloses the luminous LED tube. This process gives the lamp a three-dimensional shape where the paper is folded and draped, creating a soft and elegant effect.

Pli is the result of young Danish designer Felicia Arvid's first lamp design, where the light source is the central inspiration. The LED strips in the thin, extruded PMMA structure act as both light source and supporting element for the paper textile that surrounds it. The diffuser of the lamp creates a light both upwards and downwards, while the thin quality of the paper provides a subtle and delicate translucent glow from the sides.
