Unikko, one of Marimekko’s most recognisable prints, was born from Maija Isola’s fascination with florals at a time when the motif was scarcely used in the brand’s collections. Kivet, also designed by Isola, consists of circles she cut by hand—likely inspired by the large, rough-edged stones surrounding her studio home.
