Piccolo is a practical and decorative medium-sized storage basket made of 100% organic cotton canvas. The basket has two handles for easy movement and is covered in the iconic Piccolo pattern, printed in Helsinki.
The Piccolo pattern was created by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi back in 1953 - the same year she joined Marimekko. With its hand-painted brushstrokes and vibrant stripes, it became a symbol of timeless Finnish design. Three years later, the now classic Jokapoika shirt was introduced in the same fabric - a style statement that still lives on today.
