Über die Marke
String wurde 1949 gegründet und hat seither ikonische Designmöbel mit hoher Qualität, Zeitlosigkeit und Funktionalität als Schlüsselwörter geschaffen. Die Idee für das beliebte Regalsystem von Nisse und Kajsa Strinning wurde geboren, als die Bonnier Public Library einen Design-Wettbewerb veranstaltete, bei dem die Teilnehmer aufgefordert wurden, ein Bücherregal zu entwerfen, das leicht zu montieren, einfach zu versenden und zudem erschwinglich sein sollte.
