Äng, which means meadow in Swedish, from Swedish Klong quickly became a modern classic. The beautiful vases give the opportunity to arrange flowers in a new way thanks to the simple but smart design that allows spectacular flower arrangements. Even the simplest bouquets look elegant in an Äng vase. According to Eva Schildt, who designed Äng, each flower needs two support points to stand and she had that in mind when she designed the vase with the double brass mesh.
The vase is made of mouth-blown glass with handmade brass inserts – oxidized blue, silvered and pure brass. Äng is available in four different sizes, three of which are round and the fourth rectangular. The holes of the insert vary in shape and size and, like on a meadow, the cut flowers fall naturally in place. The vase becomes as beautiful embellishment either filled with colourful flowers or single twigs.
Care instructions:
Replace water and wipe the brass regularly. The brass has been varnished to be water resistant, but remember to wipe away any sap residue from the brass surface. If this is not done regularly, it may become discoloured. Both the glass and brass insert are handmade, each vase is unique. Which also contributes to the organic impression. For this reason, small variations in appearance may occur.
