It's quite slow for its size, not loud while heating up, and the plastic gets quite hot, which is understandable. The on/off switch glows a nice, stylish red, like the rest of the kettle, but that's to be expected. You don't need to open the lid when pouring, which is practical since the kettle gets very hot. All in all, a very simple and well-designed appliance – nothing more is needed.
