The sharpening stone is made of ceramic corundum and mounted on a 5 mm thick glass base, which provides stability and allows the stone to be used down to the last millimetre without the risk of cracking. Thanks to the pressed grain design behind the glass, the stone keeps its grain size intact over time, giving reliable results every time. Akio sharpening stones require no soaking - a few splashes of water are enough. Each stone also comes with an anti-slip holder that keeps it firmly in place throughout the grinding process. The range is available in several grit sizes, suitable for everything from coarse sharpening to fine polishing of the edge.
