Barboy is a storage furniture designed by Verner Panton for Verpan. This is an adaptable four-wheeled storage furniture consisting of three drawers of varying sizes. A flexible and movable design piece that comes in four stylish accent colors - black, white, blue and orange. Barboy is made of shaped and lacquered MDF with associated chromed metal wheels and with a chromed knob on the top. Barboy's unique design makes it very functional, which means it can be used both as a drink carriage, a relief side table in the living room, or as an extra storage in the bedroom or hallway.
Verner Panton 1926 - 1998
Renowned architect and designer Verner Panton was noted for his incredible ability to combine materials and color in an innovative way. Panton had a unique mind and a great sense of design and visualizing concepts. He studied at the "Royal Academy of Fine Arts" in Copenhagen before starting his professional career at Arne Jacobsen's architectural office. During his active years he created a number of successful pieces that today have become design classics. Among other things, Panton was involved in the production of the well-known chair Myran during his time at Arne Jacobsen.
