As good as it gets, exceptionally good for pancakes, no need to put in a dollop of butter for each pancake. Very satisfied! I don't know if it can withstand metal tools, but if you are careful, it might work. Nothing has caught fire so far. Very easy to wash, just use a little hot water and all the grease and food residue will disappear. 10/10, would recommend to my mother.
