Arne Jacobsen – Classic Clocks for the Home

Arne Jacobsen’s classic clocks have been produced by Rosendahl since 2009, and you can find a wide selection of the popular models here at RoyalDesign. During his lifetime, Arne Jacobsen designed some of our most beloved furniture classics, as well as several renowned buildings. Although Jacobsen is best known for his furniture design, he also created textiles, kitchen products, home accessories and, not least, clocks. The classic timepieces are characterised by the clean lines and elegant forms of the Scandinavian design tradition, while remaining unique in their own right. Popular Wall Clocks and Table Clocks

Among the clocks designed by Arne Jacobsen are both wall clocks and table clocks. What they have in common is a clean, timeless design that works just as well with modern interiors as it does in a traditionally styled home. One of the most popular models is Bankers, a wall clock designed when Arne Jacobsen was commissioned to design the National Bank of Denmark in the 1960s. Another popular model is City Hall, designed in 1956. This clock was created when Arne Jacobsen was commissioned to design the town hall in Rødovre.
