The world-famous Danish ceramics brand Kähler has exhibited its artistic creations at exhibitions and museums around the world since its founding in 1875. What many people do not know, however, is that the story of Kähler began as early as 1839, when potter Herman J. Kähler opened a small ceramics workshop on Kindhestegade in Næstved. In 2008, architect Frantz Longhi acquired the rights to the company, marking the beginning of what is today perhaps Scandinavia’s most innovative brand within gastronomy and design, Kähler.
