About the brand
Kosta Boda (originally Kosta Glasbruk) was founded in 1742 by two highly decorated soldiers from the army of legendary King Charles XII: Field Marshall Baron Georg Bogislaus Staël von Holstein and Lieutenant General Anders Koskull. Almost three centuries later, the oldest Swedish glassworks company has also grown to become arguably the best in the country.

For me, the blue glass cube illustrates “planet earth”, which is predominantly made up of water. A small part is fresh, most of it is salty. All water is affected by humans. Water is the prerequisite for life, refreshment and everything. We build our existence on this prerequisite, not golden for everyone, but for some. Gradually, as the water on the surface is not enough to satisfy our thirst, we step down and fetch more water.
What is missing and as one can imagine, is the invisible water in the atmosphere.
