Kosta Boda

Kosta Boda (originally Kosta Glasbruk) was founded in 1742 by two highly decorated soldiers from the army of legendary King Charles XII: Field Marshall Baron Georg Bogislaus Staël von Holstein and Lieutenant General Anders Koskull. Almost three centuries later, the oldest Swedish glassworks company has also grown to become arguably the best in the country.

Kosta Boda Glasses

Take the Magic Crystal Champagne Coupe, one of Kosta Boda’s crystal glasses, for instance. At a glance, the design may look simple. However, a closer inspection will reveal a wonderful distribution of weight. The spiral twists along the stem not only provide increased grip, but they will also beautifully refract light, lending a touch of refinement to any event.

The limited-edition UHV Snake Decorative Goblet is another great example of the fine and imaginative products produced by Kosta Boda. Designed by Åsa Jungnelius, the goblet carries a visually imaginative motif depicted in the form of a green snake entwined around its stem.
