The style fits our Japanese style perfectly. The coat rack is hung in the hallway, and turned out exactly as we wanted. The only negative is that these "fingers" have springs, and slam back onto the wooden board when the jackets are taken off. I hadn't noticed this feature, and then I might have chosen something else. I attached small furniture knobs to the back of each coat rack. The sound was more muted, but you should know that it hits the backboard quite hard. Not something I would have placed in a bedroom - if you don't want to wake your better half when you take off your clothes.
